Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. It’s the time of year where your boss will write a group email saying how thankful he or she is for a wonderful group of employees. And they are doing their best to mean it.  This year, we were rewarded with Thanksgiving pies at my work and I had a little too many slices of the pecan.

Saying thank you is an art form.

Ever since I began working at a call center, I’ve tried to go out of my way to be more appreciative of people who I come in contact everyday.  Believe me, it goes a long way when you reach out to someone and send them some positive feedback on a job well done.  But I think that everyone in general wants to feel appreciated.

So do your part today and thank someone.

Let’s Try to Be a Little More Human to Each Other

Anyhow, this is the first Thanksgiving that I will be spending with friends.  Sometimes I wish that growing up we had tons of extended family and family friends surrounding the Thanksgiving table.  When I hear of people complaining about their loud relatives, I say to myself that they should not be so negative about it.

At least they have someone to share their holiday with.  So for that, you should express some gratitude.

It’s also around this time of year that I get a small craving for a particular meat product.  Turkey!  As a kid, I loved my mom’s stuffing which happened to be chock full of Oscar Meiner Weiner sausages.  Meat stuffed with meat – mmm.  I might have a sample of the roasted bird this year, but I’m not entirely sold on that idea.

My vegetarianism will win this battle.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

So let me tell you the things that I am thankful for. I am thankful for my boyfriend who makes me laugh and who supports me in my crazy endeavors. And I am grateful that he pushes me to be a better person. And I am thankful for the friends in my life that make it meaningful.

I am thankful for the people in my life who listen to me. That includes the people who are interested in my writing and what I have to say. It is so meaningful to me because I’ve always loved to write and it is great that there are people to read it.

I am happy that I’ve been figuring out who is really there for me.

Just Breathe!

I am also very grateful for my health, something I take for granted ALL the time. Each time I get sick, I curse the world and then suddenly, it passes and I swear that I will never take my ability to breathe unobstructed for granted. But then the vicious cycle continues and I forget all over again.

So thank you body.

And I am grateful for this planet that we live in, even though we can be doing a better job in taking care of her.  I’m thankful that we have many beautiful places around us to explore and the means to do that.

So enough of the gratitude right now.  Let’s go pig out on pie.
